INDUSTRY CITY COUNCIL APPOINTS CITY MANAGER
On October 25th, the Industry City Council voted unanimously to appoint Troy Helling as City Manager.
“The City Council made a decision to appoint Troy Helling as the City Manager. Mr. Helling has a proven track record of service and will be an excellent city manager,” said Mayor Mark Radecki. “Mr. Helling has served the City for the past 15 years and we are confident that he will continue his work that benefits the city, our residents and business community.”
Troy Helling is a lifetime resident of this region and has over 30 years’ experience in municipal government. Troy began his municipal career in high school, working in public infrastructure maintenance and holds a bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Cal Poly Pomona. Prior to joining the City of Industry, Mr. Helling worked for the City of Cerritos and Signal Hill in their planning departments.
In 2003, Helling joined the City of Industry as a Planning Associate and in his 15-year tenure, served as Senior Planner and Planning & Safety Manager. In early 2018 he was promoted to Acting Director of Development Services & Administration, and Acting City Manager. His extensive experience in municipal service qualifies him to manage the people, issues, and all other operational aspects of the city.
